So there's a leaked trailer doing the rounds, it looks bloody good, can't share link as its pretty sick, it's not hard to find though.

Its being produced by Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi who have high hopes and love what they have seen so far, sound like it will be a high rated film. Footage at comic con was well reported so fingers crossed.

Bruce Campbell was belligerently confident that die-hard fans will soon be swallowing all of the criticism they have spouted at the mere thought of a remake of the classic 1981 horror. Sam Raimi is back on board with the remake, whilst Bruce Campbell (who starred in the original) is one of the producers.

Trailer now out http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=96353

Looking good!

Let's just hope that while it seems visually up to par, Diablo Cody's script doesn't leave everyone spouting turgid nonsense the whole time.

I have not heard a thing about this and have not seen the footage, im off to find it now!

PLEASE GOD please please dont wreck this one!
These films have cemented themselves as brilliant, even that 3rd one, Army of darkness was silly enougth for me to remember it too this day. If they wreck this I will be really wee'd off lol

I've seen 2 and 3 and love them both, never really seen the original as a lot of people said that 2 is pretty much a remake of the first anyway

Holy crap sticks! I forgot they're doing a new film. Trailer looks quality. Cant wait :D

Is Bruce involved in this? Does he play a part or cameo? I didn't notice him in the trailer

Looks as though this is going to be more influenced by Evil Dead 1 as opposed to Evil Dead 2 or Army of Darkness.

There isn't going to be any humour in this by the looks of things and is going to be a straight horror. Will be interesting to see if it is any good or ends up getting lost in amongst the rest of the mindless horrors you get these days.

I saw an interview with Bruce at NYCC and he said in no uncertain terms that there is nothing funny about this iteration, it's very serious.

That being said, the trailer did look pretty epic regardless, just hope it turns out well.......and there's no CGI work involved in the film at all :D
