Not convinced by that, looks fairly generic, but will see. Sam Raimi involved with writing it, but doesnt look like theres much slapstick humour.

Looks nothing like an evil dead movie, generic 'horror' movie looks spot on. Apart from being an executive producer not really sure how much, if any, input Rami has with this..

Yeah IMDb had him listed as one of the writers, but I guess thats just a credit for writing the originals?

Fede Alverez did a decent job with the remake as a first time director ,that was a pretty serious horror without much humour, so maybe this can pull it off.

The remake could have been any old horror film though, the humour is what makes the evil dead, well the evil dead!

Oh good, it's generic horror movie #17830

Shame. Loved Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness and the Ash Vs Evil Dead series. 2013 movie... not so much. Apart from the post credit cameo. ;)

Watched the 2013 remake a number of times and there is some wicked dark humour throughout, just not as in your face as the OG movies.

I rate it highly - really liked it, to the point I got a signed poster by Alvarez himself.

This new movie doesn't say Evil Dead to me at all, if not for the title, it'd be a generic possession movie.

I remember when I watched Evil Dead II, many years ago. It was one of only two films I ever rewound and watched again right away. Heaven help my soul!

I was not expecting this to get good reviews...good to see.

Not sure how accurate it is but IGN already gave it a good review. The director said they deliberately moved away from Ash because they wanted a new fresh take on the Deadites. Will be watching it soon so will give a verdict.

Just got back and this was way better than I thought it would be, they really pushed on with practical effects and had hardly any CGI which made it feel way more real.

Def worth a watch if you enjoy horror films.

I loved the 2013 film so I'm pretty hyped for this.

One thing that did pee me off on the 2013 film was the trailers showed it coming out of the trap door and it looked creepy as hell but it wasn't in the cinematic version, had to wait for extended version of whatever it was to see that specific scene
