Essex innit!
Just fired this up for the first time and pretty game and demanding. In my benching, I was sitting between 45 and 60 fps roughly the whole time @ 1440P with everything set to the max.

Nice to see G-Sync doing its job though and played very smooth. Anyone else who has the Alpha game, feel free to post your results up and I will run a proper fraps bench tomorrow :)

Can you only play as the humans or is it left 4 dead style different sides?

You can be human or the monster. It is 4v1

Much point in benching an alpha?

Not really in truth but thought I would give a first look at how the game performs. I would hope the full game would be better optimised in truth.

@ Jr, I have SLI off from benching BF4 earlier and thought I would leave it off as a fair representation of what people can expect on one GPU.

you pick as you start your preferences. you can play as a player or the monster. the game is fun for one or two rounds max. its not that great and becomes tiresome very quickly.

left 4 dead is better.

as for performance ran fine and i recorded at 60 fps whole round.

I could ask if there's much point in delibirately bottlenecking your 295x2 with a 2600k.

Gregster benches this because he wants, i guess thats why you're running a 295x2.

Yeah because that's definitely the same type of comparison right? The point is alphas are usually unoptomised as hell and get better as development goes on.

Ive looked at plenty of benchmarks comparing clocked 2600k's to newer cpu's and outside of benchmarks most people are of the opinion its not worthwhile upgrading.

In fairness on OcUK anything that can be benched is usually benched.
StarSwarm tech demo for example had it's own bench thread.
Battlefield Hardline quite possibly did.
The Civ: Beyond Earth quite possibly has people benching using the demo.

Things are benched even if they don't have a built in benchmark and are thus open to user inconsistencies. Can't see why if you'd do that you wouldn't do an Alpha build too.

Just got these if anyone wants to try it out, help yourself :)

Please take one and copy the code into steam.

Some more footage and a longer game. The monster did well this time.
