So there has been a new game announced today and it's called Evolve and is next gen only and PC.

Details:

Few independent studios sport the multiplayer pedigree of Turtle Rock Studios. After years of working on Valve's Counter-Strike series, the California-based developer created Left 4 Dead, a post-apocalyptic shooter that redefined cooperative gaming and landed the number-one spot on Game Informer's Top 30 Co-op Games of All Time list. Now the studio is combining its competitive and cooperative design expertise for a new, next-gen only IP: Evolve. Backed by publisher 2K Games, which paid a whopping $10.8 million for the IP in last year's THQ auction, Turtle Rock is taking full advantage of gamers' powerful new systems.

The sci-fi multiplayer-focused shooter pits a four-player crew of alien hunters against a separate player-controlled monster that grows larger and more powerful over the course of matches. Each hunter features its own unique items and abilities, and while the monster may be outnumbered, its size and an assortment of devastating attacks make it a more than formidable foe. Like Turtle Rock's previous titles, Evolve is being built with variety and replayabilty in mind; the result is a novel mix of cooperative and competitive multiplayer elements that's unlike anything we've played before. Our exclusive hands-on time with the game's four-versus-one hunt mode left us with plenty to be excited about, and you can get all the details in this month's issue.

Our 12-page look at Evolve reveals the first hunters, monster, and unique equipment players will get their hands on when the game releases on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 this fall. We also have a wealth of exclusive screens and hands-on impressions you won't want to miss. Check out the cover image below for your first hint at what's to come.

I'm interested in this game, sounds great and is by a great team.

It sounds really promising! Much prefered L4D1 to L4D2, so hope it is more like the first than the second! Other than that, I am really intrigued how they will balance 4v1 MP.

Few weeks ago I watched a lengthy gameplay video of this - shows all human perspectives and the monster perspective.

Looks like a fun game - deff be looking at buying this when it's out. Be a nice change from the full on competative multiplayer games.

From what I seen, I expect they may be adjusting the balance of certain things but mostly it looked pretty well balanced. Only thing is I think the humans could tank a bit too much damage. However, once 1 human goes down it can spiral out of control for them quite quickly.

So that suggests the overall balance is good. You have to work as a team of 4. With only 2 of you, it's almost impossible to survive for long. So an interesting dynamic of humans hunting monster, but then possibly getting hunted themselves if the monster gets the upper hand.

Never played L4D much, but gets lots of praise so this one should be interesting

I'm looking forward to this, only problem I can see is dragging myself away from destiny :)

I forsee all games having that problem for me too. Destiny and Diablo 3 within a month. Lots of other good looking stuff but if I only game for 15 hours a week then that doesn't even seem like enough time for those 2 games, nevermind anything else.

I'm sure there will be a drought though where I can play catch-up. Or just play the hell out of D3 in August so i'm pretty much done with it by the time Destiny lands

Oh yeah! Just noticed my email. Whammy! Anyone have any idea how big the download is?
