MS are having yet another go at breaking back into PC gaming in a big way it seems. Hiring Jason Holtman is a wise move he was the main guy responsible for Steams astounding commercial growth in the past few years surprised Gabe let him leave

No doubt he'll design something decent, Microsoft will cut corners like crazy, and it'll end up like GFWL.

They could just get the Xbox 360 Halo games ported to PC and put on Steam if they were actually serious, but they're not.

That's the only way I'd see them as being serious, followed through by other titles.

Yeah saw that its obvious MS do not care the only way they can dominate is to buy Steam from Valve and that is not likely to happen anytime soon is it.

He was a double agent sent by Gabe Newell to infiltrate and destroy the pc gaming division of the microsoft orginization unfortunatelly he was confronted by Bill Gates wearing a mechanical suit armed with four miniguns and consequently terminated his employment before he could finish the job.
