Mathematics is NOT a plural anyway. There is no such thing as "a mathematic". The abbreviation to "maths" in this country is completely arbitrary.

Anyway, this thread needs more crazy ideas for breaking the speed of light. Why hasn't anyone dropped the old "If I have a really long stick and I move one end then the information travels faster than the speed of light" chestnut yet?

shouldnt we work on being able to easily travel at say, the speed of sound before we tackle the speed of light? ok i know most jets can do more than the speed of sound and stuff, but for example the local busses dont go that fast, and as such it takes an age to get anywhere!

so less reasearch on lightspeed and more on fast busses i say!

Pfft. Try switching that to UK websites only (seeing as that's where we are). Maths gives you 5,700,000, Math gives you 6,100,000. Seeing as the result for 'Math' will include 'Maths', that gives Math an effective result of only 400,000.
Plus, it's just...maths.
