Just checking if this sounds feasible in Excel 2000. Or suggest how to go about it; bearing in mind I have very basic knowledge of Excel.
The situation we have is called a system check that fills set values into columns, e.g. weights. We then print this out and check the calculated results match what is on the original master print out.
So my question is can this be done electronically instead, by comparing system check values against a write protected master version of the spreadsheet? All I could think of is having another tab with the master version on, and telling the system check tab to spot a difference between the two. Then maybe highlight the cell red to draw attention to difference.
