excel formula needed

Hi

A1=a date

whats the formula for B2 to display a date which is A1 + 1 calendar month?

Try this:
=date(year(a1),month(a1)+1,day(a1))

Does Excel think that A1 is actually a date, or does it just look like one? If you put =A1+1 in another cell, and it gives an error, you haven't formatted A1 as a date correctly. If you can tell me what it says in A1, I might be able to give you a hand on reformatting it.
