Excel formula question

Im currently uploading my new web shop (heating), ive never really delved properly into excel before but one obvious way to save me some time is in the discounting of the products.

If I have my list prices in category M, and my discounted prices at 52.5% in category K, what would the formula to do this without me manually working out the price?

Work what out?

If you have List Price and your Discounted Price what left is there to calculate (discount)?

I have hundreds of products to put in, I dont want to keep having to manually work out the discount on all the future products i have to put in.

I also have to put in in a different cell my cost price so I have three prices for each item.

If you are saying that your category K /discounted price is 52.5% of your category M / list price, then you just need to do =A1*0.525 to get your discounted price.

However I'd have a separate cell so that you can automatically change the discount factor, then the formula would be =A1*$C$1, where C1 contains the 52.5%, or whatever discount you want to apply.
