Is there anyway that I can lock down a worksheet so that people can't copy the layout. Basically Ive designed a form and added a copyright etc but if it falls into the hands of a competitor they will also end up using it.

Ive tried protecting the workbook and the worksheet but I can still copy the layout and text into a new workbook and bypass the protection.

There isnt very much in it either, just a few basic formulas but it has hundreds of small boxes all over the place and took me an age to do so dont want someone stealing it without a fight!

Thanks

Have you made sure the cells you have are locked? And any formulae are hidden? I take it you've used the Protect Worksheet/Workbook functions and used a password on the whole file?

If you want them to be able to view results without seeing a damn thing else try converting results to PDF or pasting values before publishing the sheet.

However there is a way as every two years a spreadsheet comes out that's designed to calculate all possible statistics of large football tournaments that seems totally protected in the manner you describe.
