I bought my original Dell 2007WFP 10 days ago and it arrived with a stuck pixel, I contacted Dell and good enough they replaced it the following day with another new one which also had one stuck pixel and a small scratch on the bezel (not on the screen) rang them up and again they sent out a new replacement this morning, which is perfect, I then received a phone call from the customer service rep that had been dealing with it, saying that he had spoken to his manager and as a goodwill gesture they would like me to keep both monitors. I have now got 2 brand new 2007WFP's, now that's what I call customer service.

Well done Dell.

My word, that is excellent - it seems that they really are trying to fix their business at the moment, but well done!

(If you want to sell me your perfect one that would be ace :p)

Thanks for the offer subxero! but I think I'll keep both of them, they look nice as a dual setup I must admit.

similar happened to me except they let me keep the 2405 which they sent as a replacement instead of the 2407

thumbs up to dell. although there being faults in the first place isn't so great.

That's true and that's the way I looked at it, but Dell really didn't have to exchange a monitor for 1 stuck pixel, when I think their pixel policy is 6, I think with any make of monitor you stand a chance of getting one with stuck or dead pixels, you just have to be firm and insist that they replace it.

mine had no dead pixels the power button disappeared into the bezel lol and there replacement was also dead pixel free but made a really high pitch noise you could hear over music so after a 2nd replacement then being the wrong monitor all together i was a tad

They have been great with myself as well, 2407 i got last week decided to power off whenever it fancied, rang them up yesterday spoke to a scottish gamer 45 mins to book a monitor after chatting about CSS and crysis. Seemed a good lad, so back to the point i asked them to ask the couriers not to deliver between 3.15 and 3.45 due to no-one being in.

8AM they turned up brand spanking new monitor perfect, the guy called me back bout 30 mins ago asking if the monitor was working ok and if there was any faults. I stated no monitor was fine it was on my desk 5 mins after the guy dropped it off.

Quality service

I've had 1 stuck pixel on my 2007WFP since purchase day, might give them a ring to see if anything can be done!

 No company can sell products that work all the time, it just dosent happen and it never will.

oh i know that its got to be expected from time to time but the amount of dell monitor problem threads atm is pretty high compared to any other manufacturer

At least their sorting it anyway! :)

Wonder if I ask for a replacement on my 2407 as the power button doesn't always work I may end up with an extra monitor....

My mate managed to get a free Viewsonic 20" last year :p

Well a replacement is on its way soon, the guy on the phone did say the courier is meant to pick up the old one too but who knows :o

edit*

And my dad just ordered an upgraded Dell XPS desktop at the same time!

UPDATE: Contacted AOC again to complain again but no luck, so contacted <snip> and they will replace it for me.

Just wanted to say that if you do get 5 or more Dead pixels (or 7 in a really small area) - Then AOC also provide a pretty good service.

I bought a 720A in April 2003, had it exchanged in December 2004 as it had developed 7 dead pixels - they replaced it with an upgraded model which had better response and pivot/swivel functionality.

In July 2006 (now out of warranty) - the monitor developed a backlight problem - It took them 2 months to get a replacement in stock - but they did eventually replace the monitor even though it was out of warranty.

I had a similar experience. Although it was only one they let me keep (which I was refunded for). They said it would cost them too much to send someone to pick it up.

Well I got the replacement 2007WFP today, they took the old one away :( - needless to say the new one they sent is an A04 (old one was A02) and the new one has zero stuck pixels on a black or white screen (old one had 1 on black) as well as the new ones revision in the system menu being listed as RT803 which is an S-IPS panel. Not bad for a years usage, getting a replacement that is 2 revisions newer :D

The old one was beginning to creek as well when you handclamped the panels plastic casing together, the new one is solid :)
