I’m thinking of replying, but I need some good reply material, something that’ll not confuse too much as I have to question the intelligence of this one, just enough to see what I can find out…. Heck, its all done on a double blind email, so whoever this is, won’t get any personal info, unless I’m stupid enough to give it.. Which I won’t..

A. because she probably doesn't know how to scan it,

Ok, points taken... It is actually a little unfair of me to poke fun, she could just be 'very' shy.. It does happen...

I guess online dating if you're shy is one way, but I would recommend to her she improves her first initial email, as it does look at first glance a bit suss..

I feel really sorry for the woman, I think you should take out the link to her profile. Some people are really nervous about online dating and just don't know what to say, or even how to say it, but I really don't believe it's a scam. Also, a lot of women don't like normal photographs of themselves, so if they have a portrait they like, it would make sense to use that to show people what they look like. I used to have a lot of scanned photos on my pc because they were better than digital ones, but obviously it isn't possible to scan a proper portrait.

I would say the pic is real as nobody would post a filtered pic like that unless it was them. Worst thing is that is the absolute best Shim will ever look :p

ok ok, I'm feeling a bit guilty with this now, so I'm NOT going to email her 'just' incase this isn't a scam, I do not want to lead the poor lass on. It might give her false hopes...

If she is shy, secluded, and a bit in-experienced the last she needs is someone stringing her along to just get a quick cheap laugh..

However, match.com has seen me get a whole bunch of emails like this, only for the profile to be gone within a week, after they have asked for mobiles, or email addresses etc...I just didn't get the angle on this one, it looked like a scam, it really did...

It was NOT my intention to laugh at some poor lass who just wants to find herself a nice partner.. I wanted to have a laugh at some scammer..!!

Look before you leap now comes to my mind.... And I do appolgise if I've offended anyone with this.... I'm not into cheap /low laughs at the expense of others feelings..... I'm not a total cold hearted man who has no feelings...

Right, feel better now.... Still, she does need some online dating coaching.... Everything about her first email to me was sooo wrong....
