Exceptoinal Case mods

There are some amazing pcs there.
There are also some very unspecial pcs there.
StevenG submitted his black and white G70 and they turned it down saying it wasn't good enough, yet it clearly is far better than some of the other cases in there....
 
There are some very well done PCs on there, but nothing completely amazing.

Just because the photos have been taken by someone who actually knows how to use a camera and lighting equipment doesn't make most of those cases anything more than what most people could achieve.

Really his pc is way better than most there. Infact that v350b build is pretty standard and not really that special. for instance look at the green fan dampeners where do they fit with the theme?

Steve's build was flawless. He probably lacked £4000 worth of photo equipment to join that club however.

For fear of being flammed, i can understand why they refused to submit it.

Dont get me wrong its a great build, but just lacks exceptional detail, such as the ram sinks, northbridge and gpu covers being all different colours.

If these were all black or silver for example i would stannd out as an exceptional build even more.
 
thanks for the comments on my build. i do also see why they turned it down, there wasnt as much time or MONEY spent on my rig i spent what i could on things that mattered to me at the time. like the watercooling etc.

to make of the heatsinks and stuff match would have cost money i didnt have and wouldnt have benefited me in any way.

i know my build was great just not as *perfect* as the ones on that site.

anyway i had fun building it. it has been passed on to someone else who has also made a great job of it :)

Very eloquent StevenG, which leads me to my previous post about form over function, your case is very nice in its own right but you are quite correct, the cases in that site seem to have been built to impress others rather than make the owners happy and content.
