Hi,

I am trying to move from Windows mobile back to Android, but cant get my email set up the way I want. I think I have tried most of the Apps

I have a Xiaomi Redmi note 3 and want to use the Dual sim for both work and Business Email.

I want my business exchange email to sync emails and calender, but only on a manual basis when required. I don't want the battery drain or getting bothered when I am off.

I want ideally a separate mail icon or program to use with Hotmail. This can sync every hour or so.

Any ideas on which programs to use? Many do not have the option to manually sync

Thanks

Barry

The way exchange sync works, I'm pretty sure it only wakes up your phone when you have new mail, and not on a periodic sync where it uses more power, so exchange sync is already battery friendly. Microsoft has an official Outlook app for Hot mail/MSN/Outlook accounts you can try.

I'd second the suggestion for Nine, this is exactly how I use it and have push/scheduled sync turned off only opting to have the app refresh the mailbox when I open the app.

On all the phones I have used you go into the mail app and settings, pick the account and then set the sync schedule. Its always been there and works on pop, imap, exchange, 365 etc
