Exchange/Outlook Problem

Basically to cut a long story short I made some distribution groups and then deleted them - I have now made those users (as the users here wanted to open other users folders) the address book, however, is showing them as groups (so when I click open other users folder and goto the name its saying 'the server mailbox can not be opened because the address book entry is not a mail user'.

Does anyone know how to get around it or how to force an update?

Are you using AD?

If you are, check the admin view for the all the listed exchange mail boxes and groups stored in there. Remove if neccessary

You need to recreate the offline address book (in the exchange system manager) then download the address book (send and receive in Outlook)

Usually the OAB is set to recompile at around 3am.

If you've left it for the day you should find it all fixed in the morning.
