Hi,

I've had an Audi A4 B6 for a few years now and it's been reliable and comfy if a little boring. Tax and fuel costs are high and I have a sneaking suspicion I should sell it as I could recover my costs before any major work needs doing..

My annual mileage is around 7k and will be used as daily commuter as well as at weekends so needs to be practical. For some reason I have a real itch to get a nearly new Fiesta ST but at around 14k seems a lot of money. Also it's a bit boy racerish and am worried it will make me look like a chav haha. I actually test drove the 1.0 litre ecoboost 140 not long ago and it was so much fun to drive...

I've considered a Golf too but the price of a GTI is insane :/

Pls OCUK give me some good advice... what car should I get!?

Focus ST?

I know... I don't like the 5 door either but you do see some rather nice examples out there.
 
I just picked up a brand new Fiesta ST on monday. It is a hoot :D.

I wouldn't worry about it's "image". I am probably the total opposite of a 'chav' but that didn't stop me!
 
Thanks for the suggestions. I think my title was a bit misleading because what I really want is something practical, fun, reliable and fairly cheap to run. Can you have all that?

I don't think a 335i solves any of my problems but I do love German cars. That's why I keep looking at VW and Audi but the price to car ratio is just not on par with the Fiesta.

Don't like the 350Z if i'm honest

I also don't particularly like the way the Focus looks although I've driven one and I know they are amazing fun to drive.

I guess I was looking to dissuade myself from getting the Fiesta but the more I think about it and look at them the stronger the itch gets.

Will post back with pictures when I buy something :D
