Existing PSU in new build - whining and Buzzing noise

Earlier this week I put together a new built (4770k, Asus Maximus VI Formula) and I used my existing PSU (Be Quiet P8-1200W). Up until this moment the PSU has never given me any trouble.

The machine works fine, even under stress running the 4770k and a pair of Titans everything seems fine, the load on the PSU does not seem to make any difference to the noise, but I am worried that it has suddenly started to make this noise. How worried should I be?

Then it progressed to other noises after it was sold on (I refunded the buyer straight away). A 3 year warranty is not enough.

I know this might sound strange but do you have any dimmer switches in your house? My psu makes that exact noise if I have the dimmer switch in the hall on anything but max or turned off.

I'm having a similar problem. I can't watch the video because i'm at work with no sound!

My problem started when my pcie slot broke, the connector came off and all the pins were showing (don't ask) I tried to seperate them as best as i could because they were shorting out, but maybe I missed a few and that's causing the problem.

I was planning on cutting them off to see if it makes a difference.

Maybe it's something similar in your case? (just probably not because of a broken pcie port)
