Expectations then and now

1. Manchester United

2. Play better than last season and don't drop silly points.

3. Top the premiership, semi finals of both the CL and F.A cup.

There's 14 games left, there's no way the current Chelsea side will win them all. If we can string a few wins together it will soon look beyond Chelsea, especially if our game with them is rescheduled for the end of the season.
I hope that ends up being the case.

As of now i'm not yet at the point where i'm confident we will win it. I was close when we were 1-0 up at Arsenal with 10 minutes left, but we all know what happened there.

1. Liverpool

2. Win the league (maybe realisticly top 2) and a good run in FA cup and CL

3. Win the league (again realisticly top 2) and go as far as possible in the CL

although we won't be winning the CL this year, only good teams win that, Liverpool excepted of course[/b]
Your right we were (and are) a great team.

1. Liverpool

2. Within 5 points of Chelsea by the end of the season, win FA cup or CL. Beat one of the other top 3 away from home.

3. 2nd place in the league. Semis of the CL although if we beat Barca I would expect us to win it.

Edit: Btw Man Utd fans arent very optimistic are they :p

Tell me about it.
If Liverpool where 6 points clear with just 14 games to go I wouldn't even contemplate us not winning the league. If Man Utd stick clear of injuries to their defence and midfield, they really shouldnt have a problem winning it from here. Chelsea looked as bad as they've ever been under Mourinho at Anfield last week.

1. Bristol City.

2. Playoffs and mabye a run in some kind of cup, (been due one)

3. Perform again up at the riverside and valiantly go out of the fa cup. Then hopefully keep playing the way we are and win this league and get out of this god forsaken division.

1. Ipswich Town

2. Push for the Play Offs

3. Late push for the play offs, good cup run to earn some cash. Bring some more players from the youth team through for a real push next season.

:)

I'm optimistic but i'm also realistic.

Of Man Uniteds remaining games there are quite a few where there is potential for us to drop points.

Spurs A
Liverpool A
Chelsea A
Everton A
Man City A

Compare Chelseas run in, they have fewer difficult fixtures, any points dropped beyond these 3 games would be a surprise.

Newcastle A
Man U H
Arsenal A

If we do win it then I think we will deserve it with the difficult run in we have.

Celtic

1. Win league, Cup, make last 16 of UCL

2. Win league, Cup, make last 16 of UCL

Aston Villa

A safe mid table position. While signing a few players to improve the first team.

Keep clear of the relegation battle.

Arsenal:

At the start: 3rd or 4th, and another good CL run (hopefully going one better)

Now: 3rd, a good CL run, and one of the two domestic cups. All very possible after some of our performances this season. :)

I think it comes down to much more than who we play on the run-in.
Well done for stating the obvious.

The point is do we have the squad to cope with our remaining fixtures sufficiently (which I think Chelsea do).

We've done extremly well so far with a squad that isn't very far from the one we had through last season.

I hope we can maintain it to the end of the season, but not taking into account Chelseas form over the last couple of months, we are more prone to dropping silly points from time to time as well as in the big matches.

1. Everton

2. Top 10 finish with an outside chance of Europe

3. I think we'll finish top 10, but with AJ out and our squad down to bare bones we've pretty much no chance of Europe.
