Hi,

I’m running an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X with Corsair Dominator 6000 MHz CL30 (16 × 2) EXPO RAM.
What latency should I expect with EXPO enabled, without any BIOS tuning?
Also, after tuning, what latency could be expected?

Additionally, what adjustments or settings would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

In Aida it's usually somewhere around ~10 ns improvement from stock EXPO vs tuned, I wouldn't put much stock in the actual number though, as it varies from run to run, and motherboard to motherboard.

Buildzoids video here is a good starting point

I tuned the timings exactly as Buildzoid explained in the video and adjusted the tRC based on my tRP and tRAS values (tRP + tRAS = tRC). The timings are quite tight, but the system is running without any crashes so far. I’m getting only 69 ns latency.

Are you running in 1:1 mode?

Download ZenTimings and post a screenshot of the settings.

I found that even though every software shows my RAM running at 6000 MHz, the BIOS automatically resets it to 4800 MHz. The primary timings in the BIOS show as 40-40-40, while my RAM kit is rated for 30-36-36.

The attached ZenTimings screenshot shows 6000 MT, but the VSOC is 1.19. However, when I check the BIOS, it still shows 4800 MHz.

Need help

Are you on the latest BIOS?

Cant see any images.

DDR5 6000 CL30 has a latency of 10ns
DDR5 6000 CL26 has a latency of 8.66*ns

However, if you are talking in terms of ADIA results, I'd expect results in the 60-70ns, but the OS can also have a large bearing on the results due to running services in the background. An example, on a fresh install of W11 25H2 (26200.7309) using a Ryzen 7 9700X and 32GB 6000 C26 I get 74.7ns using EXPO.

Naturally, this can be further improved with manual tweaking.
