Such an almost unbelievable lack of "hype" has been generated so far with almost no UK media, adverts etc that I've seen so I'm fairly sure this will not have a great opening here and, if that lack of hype also hold true in the US - which I think it may, all of that doesn't bode well for the franchise.

Usually actors would do the rounds to promote it but they are on strike

Thats a really good point.

Whats confusing to me, is that the studios must also be aware of this, and must must also be aware that they still need to advertise the film "somehow" to avoid it being a huge financial flop, and therefore you'd imagine they'd have a whole room of staff just thinking up idea's - lots of airplay of the trailer on streaming/TV/cinema, huge increase in billboard postings, sponsor sports game/venues, flood online (tiktok/twitch/YT etc) with adverts and sponsorships etc all for about 1 month before the film releases - unless there's something in the WGA/SGA strike which prevents Studios "advertising" a film?
 
CGI was a joke, Statham is just a caricature of himself now - the "woohoo" at the beginning when he was manning the 50 cal was cringe.

The motorbike scene on deck - i was crying! The nods to each other before they killed someone. And the 'twists' - you had to be Stevie Wonder not to see those coming. I guess this movie was played for the lowest common denominator, because Jeebus, this was bad, very bad,
 
What a bad film, I nearly went to the cinema to see this and I'm so so so glad I didn't pay to see it in the end.

Not saying the others were Oscar worthy but they were not as bad as this one was.

I do like Jason Statham but even he couldn't save it. Just terrible!

I am looking forward to the Beekeeper though.
