Experiences, games and apps

I would thoroughly recommend anyone with a Rift or Vive picking up the Apollo 11 VR Experience. I haven't tried the finished version yet, but the BETA version was easily the best thing I've experienced in VR.

Going to second that as much as possible, for a short free experience it was outstanding

got it partially working. skipped most of the configuration and now i saw the intro demos oculus shows. Not bad i guess. Have only tried one full game on it so far (subnautica) and that is failing miserably to load (even though its a core title) but hey its alll a work in progress right :)

Make sure to at least try to grab all the free stuff as if it's removed and made to be chargable again, you'll be marked as having purchased it already :)

Shout if anything doesn't work and we'll try to fix it.

Yeah, notice how the room has like 6 kinect cameras... that sounds practical

I can see this working in offices. Each of our uk offices has a Cisco telepresence suite which you can use to make calls to any of the other offices. It works really well for group meetings - far better than a conference call. I can easily see the suites being upgraded to handle hololens.

theblu - specs out of my league

MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1
Processor: i7-5930K
Memory: 32 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 or equivalent
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 2 GB available space
Additional Notes: Wevr strongly recommends that your Power Plan under Windows Power Options be set to "High performance" or equivalent

As of this moment i'm 100% recommending Project Cars as the go to sim for car sim fans who have a VR headset (and gaming pc minimum gtx970)

I feel with a lot of the VR "games" that they can fall into a the "wii trap" Not exactly full blown games but game lite experiences kinda.

However Project Cars is a full sim-ish racer. Works marvelous in the DK2 on Oculus 1.3 runtime (almost like a new game). The rain/thunderstorm weather effects are the best i have seen EVER in any racing game.

The graphics are excellent - superb detail on the cars. I was able to turn the settings up pretty high with the 1.3 runtime probably due to the magic of ATW which made it feel very smooth. Sure you will not have the resolution as its only DK2 but if you have a CV1 then hot damn you lucky son of a mother! Because you will get even better experience.

*note im playing it in DK2 with the steam version but i hear the oculus home store version is just as good if not better
