Experiences of your parents FIRST computer?

1. When your parents got their first computer, was it a pleasent experience for yourself?

Well, my dad has had my old 'hand me downs' since he decided to have a PC about 6 years ago. Except the last one, I bought that from the place of purple shirts (which I HATE I prefer self builds, but this one has been OK for 3 years now)after I blew up the PSU on the PC he had at the time, he needed the data that was on it that VERY DAY!
Mum knows how to turn if off - thats it. & this is a lady that knows how to operate the most complicated washing machine going!

3. If they persevered, how long did it take them to become confident when using the computer?

He's still learning to use it even now, I get the odd call about a suspect email or he dosent know how to open a certain file.

What happens when it all goes wrong?

Heated exchange of words, but I usually prove I'm right in the end
