Hi,

I know there are already several threads on this topic, however, none answer my particular query.

A domain I am VERY interested in is in the rundown to expiring:

RegistryStatus: clientDeleteProhibited

I have done some reading about The Drop and companies that will attempt to secure the domain for me. I just want to clarify something:

The domain is currently registered with godaddy.com - they offer a backorder service, does this provide a better chance than other services, or should i register with other companies too?

Cheers,

Matt

In theory - Godaddy yould "renew" the domain even though the owner doesn't want to and simply change the registrant details to their own.
They would then be able to transfer it to who they like - so for example you, once a small wad of cash has exchanged hands.

This is of course just theory - and it maybe they won't even realise they already hold the domain and their "domain catchers" will watch it like any other expiring domain.

Very rarely to godaddy drop domains they pretty much always renew them and add them to their own auction market place. But on the off chance you should register the drop with as many back order services as you can as long as they offer a no win-no fee service.

Thanks, I've placed a backorder with godaddy, hope that will be enough - might check out the other services though.

Godaddy required a payment so I assume they will automatically renew it.
