Explain this scientists

or if the freezer they are sitting next to is on then the warming effect from the back might stave off the freezing - but only as far as the 3rd bottle - bit like the antifrost setting on a heater)

UPDATE NEARLY 1 YEAR LATER -

Wife just calle dme into the garage to see this.
Exploded Coke bottle and and it's shot at least 6 foot onto the back wall and all over the ceiling.

garage is too cold causing expansion in the bottles

One time I made some tea, it was on the counter & the upper half was tea coloured, the bottom was still clear. It was strange, wish I took a pic, I know it is a little hard to believe.

Soft drink hating Muslims tbh, perhaps some sort of explosive has been used, after all they are all experts at bomb craft and will do anything to stop Xmas and take our jobZ.

IIRC with carbonated drinks they can sometimes reach below the nominal freezing temperature of the liquid but not freeze until disturbed, at which point they go from liquid to solid very quickly.

Possibly something like that is happening, they are getting close to freezing then something disturbs them (vibration from the fridge, cat knocking it slightly - then running like mad:p).

It could also be that there is a very slight temperature difference in the two spots even though they are next to each other:)

This is very cool and happened to my beer the other day :(. Was liquid, opened it and within a second had turned to solid ice. it's when a drink is at or below freezing point, but there's no nucleation site for it to start freezing, as soon as a bubble is released, it acts as a site and instantly spreads.

maybe one is a in a slight draft or something?

Nothing major but just might have edged it under 0c ?

But the instantly freezing water trick is awesome :D

Didn't you post the same/very similar thread last year dmp ? or somone did.

edit LOL did not notice original post date >.<
