Explain What Your Perfect Game Would Be.

Another vote for the battletech universe, eve style withdropships into a planetside esque stompy mech battle on each planet.

Heck even just a Mech MMO on a single planet with a planetside style of open battle. If you can expand the game mechanics to enable buildings, bases, supply lines to be built (and then attacked!) it would become fantastic.

A Planetside style MMOFPS on an epic scale with modern graphics, persistant world etc. I would have high hopes for PS2 but then it is being developed by SoE :(

Bf2 with crysis graphics and physics! Massive maps - real team work, 1000 weapons upgradeable over a course of 3 years minimum! 300 vehicles and 30 maps! Guns that are fully customizable!

I want some kind of "Theatre of War" game whereby you have carrier groups, submarines, airplanes, special forces ops... basically a full dynamic campaign enacting WW3 where you can choose to control any different type of combatant. Maybe what I'm describing is something close to the Battlefield games, I dunno :) To work well, it would probably have to use a mashup of different engines to suit the different types of vehicles etc.

I'd also like to see a cross between Max Payne and GTA - essentially GTA gameplay but with more advanced foot sections and a slightly darker storyline.

atm mine would be a really open single player star wars game. kind of a cross between battlefront with the fighting style (but much improved) and kotor with the story, but much much bigger. i'd love to be able to walk around kashyk, the whole of the darth star etc. i am yet to play a really excellent star wars game that is just as big as the first films were. they have a great world that they can do so much with but never seem to. i know of tor but not keen on the mmo part

also thinking about it the same as above but with lotr. i loved the fighting style in the 2 later film games, worked perfectly when fighting against hundreds and hundreds of orcs at one time. could you imagine having a level where you have to defend the whole of minis tirith, not just the outside on small bit of land but real life size for the inside of minis tirith and out on the fields, but you can run around the whole place, in and out of houses etc. would work really well if multiplayer as well, having to really work together to make your way through.

The game you are talking about is Project Offset...

my perfect game would be an mmo version of Mount and Blade, where single players could lead the same sort of armies as in regular mount and blade, so a 'party' of 1-6 guys working together could amass and army of maybe 1200 men. With player run kingdoms and politics, it would be amazing.

OMG thats the one thankyou :)
basically this

The Witcher 2! I am really disappointed that they haven't released more content with the original engine.
2 games have changed my gaming experience, Left 4 Dead 2 and the Witcher, most things just seem meh after those 2

To the point that I am actually considering doing some DIY instead!

The characters of StreetFighter 2, with the magical abilities of oblivion, 4v4 team versus of L4d, the map design of HL2, the art design of bioshock, the physics and terrain deformability of crysis, and the music of GTA vice city. Oh and vehicles.

I'll be Balrog...no.. Blanka!

Mission Force Cyberstorm but with updated graphics and set in the Mechwarrior world.

Diabloesque Warhammer 40K game.

40K MMO done right. (Though I actually struggle to work out how that would work).

Something along the lines of the original System Shock, with updated graphics and more user friendly controls
