I think this is quite clearly wrong but it isn't really the place to discuss it at length - the UK is pretty careful with its bombing and very efficient at avoiding civilian casualties, the US is better than Russia too tbh.. perhaps less stringent approach than the UK but still generally single, guided munitions. Russians on the other hand are quite happy to drop a load of unguided bombs through cloud cover even. The approaches are pretty different and to argue there Russians have done more than the West to protect civilians is a bit silly.
Horrible to see this I wouldnt want to be that guy when the Spetsnaz get hold of him in the hours or days to come
I never said that, I pointed out that this horrible vicious circle of death and destruction won't be solved by either side upping the death count!
Having the mindset that the west/us can do no wrong and it's all the baddies fault is neither helpful or constructive!
I'm not sure what your source is. The Russian army spent a couple of months at considerable cost and risk, maintaining a safe corridor for civilians to flee Aleppo prior to the bombing. I would not say Russia has done any less to protect civillians in their military actions in Syria than the West and arguably has done more.
In any case, RIP to the victims and my thoughts with their surviving loved ones and friends.
No but I will happily put you on one if you'd prefer? Just for a change it would be nice for a thread about an attack not to turn into the normal Islam/Isis/Muslim etc. discussion that has been done to death.
What exactly do you want people to say? thoughts and prayers? that kind of non sense?
The man suspected of killing 11 people in a St Petersburg train is in his early 20s and from Central Asia, Russian media report.
So after all the speculative Syria posts, evil Western foreign policy nonsense form various posters it seems he's not a Syrian after all...
could easily be related to various other things - could be a Chechen etc.. we don't really need to speculate specifics now, hopefully the scumbag gets caught soon and RIP to the people who died![]()

Civilians killed by Russian airstrikes: 4,674
Civilians killed by US-led coalition airstrikes: 862
Not saying they are purposely targeting civilans but they either seem to be running on faulty Syrian intelligence or don't care killing 1 rebel even if 10 civilians die. But they defnitely not have done more than the Western coalition - not by a longshot. They are more concerned keeping Assad in power, not defeating ISIS.
