Ex's owing money

if your all good kinda thing, just ask if you can knock a few squids off your current load payment :) that ways the fairest i think

She owes you and this would pay it off, there's no way she can argue it, if she does however attempt to argue it I suggest a swift kick in the muff to sort her out.

hey quick question to see what the forum thinks i should do my ex owes me£130 from bills i paid for her a month before we broke up...now she got a loan for me when we were together and i pay her £110 a month, we ended on ok-ish terms and occasionally speak. but i dont think she is going to pay me back anytime soon, now i dont really need the money but i guess its just the principle? would it be right if i said to her just to skip one of my monthly loan payments and take it out of what she owes me? or is that being to much of a (insert swearword)?

You are penny pinching if you ask me, most people earn that in a day :)

Also, if she took a loan out for YOU, surely, you should be grateful for this and give a 30 quid discount.. Next thing you'll be asking for is a bag of crisps you gave her months ago. Ridiculous IMHO! Also, do not skip a loan payment, an agreement is an agreement, just speak to her to ASK if you can skip a loan payment to recover the amount owed. Simples.

What a stupid post, if it is that small amount to you - mail the OP a cheque!

I'd be rather peeved if I was £130 down, good terms or not!

I'm guessing you don't work?.. Seriously though, I can't believe what lengths people go to for 130 quid. Just this month, I bought a TV for 700 because my old one conked out, paid car insurance of 600, council tax of 200, petrol 150, 35 for my mobile, went out for a meal for 50, went food shopping for 120, the list goes on. I am your typical person who pays gas, electricity etc. This is practically monthly for an average wage earner.

The amount owed just seems insignificant for someone he perhaps had intimate relations with? Just my 2p

My ex owes me over £5000

Snap!

Took her to small claims court, but then her dad came to an agreement before I agreed the court date, and paid the final fees.

Lasted all of 6 months,, *sigh*

when I can afford all the fees again, will go all the way! ;)

Give her a nice fat CCJ on her credit report, which will be just lovely!

I disagree. My outgoings are similar, but £130 would still be a lot to me.

I paid my ex £500 when we split, because it simply was what I owed her. Talk to her, she may think its fair to skip a repayment. You did end on good terms after all.

I think you'd also be well within your rights to _tell_ her you're not paying the last repayment if push came to shove. Depends how anal you want to be.
