Ext hard drive USB powered 1tb

Well the title says it all!

Been asked by a friend to get an ext hard drive, 1tb but had to be powered totally via a USB connection.

Ideally less than £100

Anyone got any suggestions?

You've got 2 options for 1Tb with USB power.

1) 2 x 500Gb units
or 2) Wait until the 1Tb WD Scorpio Blue hits the shelves.

3.5" HDDs are out the window unless your friend can cope with an external power brick.
 
Since you're stuck with 2.5" for USB power your friend may want to rethink his budget for a 1 TB model. If option 1 above is not suitable, then he could spend a bit more and go for a WD 1 TB or the cheaper 750 GB model.
