Is there any way to convert an external USB hard drive into a network drive so that I can use it as network storage for backups etc. over a LAN?
I can connect it direct to my router (ASUS), but can then only access it via FTP (unless I install custom firmware on the router, which I'm not too keen on doing).
Is there a magic connector that manages to convert the USB drive to an IP addressable drive?
