Is it possible to extend SSD C drive W7 with a second SSD?
Got my nephews pc here and is full to the brim with games etc
Have a spare 500 GB ssd i was thinking of giving him but is it possible to `extend`W7 onto this as he would not use a D drive i am sure (he is not techy)

In short, no. If he has a smaller ssd then clone that to your 500gb ssd. Or the other option is add it as a second drive and move the steam library to it.

There's no quick way to do what you want, however

You could add the extra 500GB drive and then move the games over to it (This is frankly quite quick)

Alternatively create an image of C as is with it stored on an external or something.

Create a raid 0 of the two ssd's and then restore the image to it.

Move game folders from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common to the new library location it creates on D: then 'uninstall' it and 'reinstall' it to D: it will then detect the files are already there and check them.

Probably a better way of doing it but that's how I would.
