Hello - can I set up a wired "bridge" via homeplugs so that the wireless range of my virgin superuselesshub is extended (same ssid, etc) via second router?

I believe so yes. My understanding as they effectively operate as a blind connection between the plugs, so having a wireless extender or router either end would work.

I think what op means is to have the second router function as if it was the main router - so a pc connected to it would not know the difference? If so, I don't think that can be done with consumer grade network gear. It is possible - we a wireless system at my office that automatically hops to the strongest signal wherever you are on the campus, so someone may come and correct me.

Yes! Mainly use wifi for iPod Touches / netbook and the virgin superuselesshub's range is near zero ouside the bedroom it is in!

I don't think that I can do it either - this is not a "bridge".

Thanks
