the recovery disk for my laptop has provided a 10gb/10gb split on the hdd, i hve upraded the hdd to a 160gb and the recovery disks have given c drive 10gb and d drive 150gb.

Can anyone advise on increasing the c drive to a more reasonable size please

If you're running XP then 10Gb is more than enough for the windows partition - I'd leave it at that and do ALL installs to the D: (Helps with fragmentation as Windows is 'kin messy. However - Acronis is very good at partition management - couple of other programmes out there too (Partition Magic still around?)

partition magic can often lead to nightmare situtations, i'd def use acronis disk director's live cd

neither have i, but i've read a lot of threads on here with people who've really been screwed by it!
