Extending network

Ok. So i'm with BT and the router they give out is amazing never lost signal and always running at full connection.

but i need to move my pc, at the moment its connected via wifi, this is fine for the most part but im removing the wifi nic soon to make space for another gpu.

i have an option of moving the router into the room intended where there is a phone socket, but i've not tested this socket and its never been used so im unsure if i'll get the same speed as current, plus moving it would mean i lose all wired connections (bt freeview, xbox, blu ray, internet tv)

if i dont move the router what option do i have to extend it where i could wire my pc into the extension? im thinking of getting home plugs for the bt vision the rest are'nt that important to me.

any ideas appreciated.

thanks

I've heard homeplugs are'nt too clever for internet gaming? Plus i'll be moving to BT infinity so dont want to lose any speeds if i can help it

My OOOOLD Delvolo kit introduce ~1ms latency to my network connection (reads as <1ms) and I've had these, what, going on 5 years
