Extending wi-fi

I have a router in the front room. I'm in the back bedroom and wifi just ain't working. What's the cheapest and easiest way to extend it so I can connect my laptop wirelessly when in my room?

The cheapest, and probably most effective, option is a length of network cable with a wireless access point (or router configured as one) connected to the end.

There's the option of using Powerline adapters; either with a separate wireless access point, or a remote adapter with an integral access point.

Finally you could look at using wireless repeaters.

There are much cheaper lower end alternatives, but it should give you the idea.

Be aware that Powerline is a bit variable and you may find that the adapters don't like your wiring. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing beforehand.

i bought TP-LINK RE210 AC750 and i get a cracking signal throughout all my house now. All upstairs is over 80% im thinking of getting another to go near my garage to extend it a little further

I have the AC300 but it isn't what I'm looking for. Are there devices like these that actually extend the network without creating another network you have to join to?

I don't want to be switching back and forth on networks.

So what you're supposed to do is name the networks the same but on different channels so your devices will roam freely to whichever is the strongest signal.
