Hi everyone so I have a top end gaming pc and I want to move it to the other side of the room but in order to do that I would need an extension lead. Is it safe to run an extension lead or would there be to much power draw to use one as there will be my gaming pc and two monitors to run off one socket? Also if it is safe to run one what one would you guys reccomend? Surge protected and current overload?

Its ok if its decent quality .. but I prefer to use one with protections.. it can be quite handy to have high power usb built in, too, to free up a socket a phone charger might take up, etc.

Also, as long as your sensible, you won't overload the wall socket - a kitchen kettle is 3000w, for example, so a PC rig isn't going to trouble it, just use common sense - don't daisy chain/stack adapters on top of each other, stuff like that.

I have a belkin strip thing with USB on it, but they are not the cheapest... Someone mentioned another make on another thread but I can't remember what it was.
