External Disk Enclosure - Powered by USB

Hi all,

Does anyone know of an external 3.5" hd enclosure that runs off USB power? A guy at work has one that can run off of 2 USB connections to power it (his is for 2.5" drives only though).

No, it's not possible to power a 3.5" drive by USB - it consumes way too much power for USB to be able to supply.

As has been said, only 2.5" drives can be powered by USB, All 3.5" drives need an external power source.
