External drives in Vista HP

Morning all!

I have an Apacer share steno CD211 and for the life of me cannot make it works in Vista, does anyone have any ideas?


Also, I'm looking to get another external drive. Can anyone tell me if any random USB external HD I buy I will work or if there's specific ones I need that vista won't have a strop about?
