I need some more storage urgently and want a NAS drive. I need something that is easy to use and supports several connections but I'm not too concerned about individual access rights. I want to use it to store music, a large collection of photographs and some applications. I also want to use it as a backup device.

What i'm not sure about is whether to go for a all in one pre-built solution or whether to buy an enclosure with NAS capability and a seperate hard drive.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

can i also add to this as i am looking for the same thing....

...i've seen that there is wireless nas in america, can you buy it from UK yet?

i have asked a similar question, but about a NAS drive listed by overclockers called synology (see my thread ).

sadly no comments back so far, but they seema great all round product (including print server)

plugging into the back of a wireless router will mean the files are available wirelessly.

The Synology boxes are not the best looking product out there unless you like the white iPod effect but for functionality they are superb!

We sell absolutely loads of these and haven't had a single one back to my knowledge. Even if we have it would be 1s and 2s.

I'm planning on getting one for myself soon. :)
