Hey Everyone

I'm currently on the hunt for a new External Hard-Drive for my Uncle. He's using a Dell computer and only has 40GB's of storage space and its running out, really fast. Although I've asked why he wants an external rather an internal I didnt really get anywhere, and I think he wants to be able to use it as a backup and things. I was wondering if you could spec me one, he has about £50, although he doesnt mind going over or under by a bit and needs a minimum of 80GB's.

Thanks :D

LaCie External, Design by F.A. Porsche 80GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive (HD-000-LC) Price: £51.99 (£61.09 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Although i would get 250gb one for 83 pounds

seems to me like the Western Digital WDG1U800 MyBook Essential 80GB USB2.0 External Hard Drive is going to be your best bet. It's £54.04 Inc Vat, and personally I trust WD as manufacturers. So yeah, I’ve said my piece :)

I didn't mean to say Lacie make better HDs than WD. I just can't help but think that you'd be paying extra money for the "Design by F.A. Porsche" part of that HD.

didn't someone say somewhere that some of the Lacie products are shipped with WD Raptor drives in them or was I thinking of something else?
