Hi. Sorry if this has been posted already in some fashion (although i cant see it)

Basically i need to have some kind of backup of my important file from my desktop machine, I have about 1.5TB of space between my 4 Drives on my desktop machine but i would say somewhere around 500+ GB would be the kind of files i want to keep important backups of, these include documents and more importantly home video's (family stuff) and pictures Etc.

Basicaly what is the best most reliable External USB Drive (preferable about 1TB in size) around ? Ive read the cheap Maxtor Basics models are to be avoided so now im after some help.

Models ive seen that are around my budget :

Seagate Freeagent Desktop 1TB
Western Digital Elements 1TB

But obviously im sure there are more.

I have one of these they have a Western Digital Green Power inside, nice and reliable. Lasted about 2 years externally but then I ripped out the drive and use it internally, still going strong. You'll have to ask when they'll be expecting some in stock though.
