My main PC is down atm (power supply broken and waiting for replacement from antec) so I'm on my laptop now. my main PC has a 37gb raptor and a 250gb maxtor ide drive, it has all my movies and college work on it although not that vital now college has finished but would like access to all my stuff, Ive seen cheap external caddys set drives on fire so don't want this happening, now i'm hoping having this hard drive external will also lower my main systems temps down a good bit once its back up and running so i can run the fans a bit slower. Now to the point, I'm looking at getting an external usb caddy for my 250gb drive but i want one that will be silent and will be able to handle constant use of the drive (not over heat) i have had a look at the Enermax External Enclosure EB305C and read a review on it and it seems good, has anyone got one of these that they can comment on. My other option was NAS but they are pretty expensive although i would like it but i think the usb option will do for now.
