External Hard Drive for Time Machine (backup)

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a hard drive for Time Machine (backing up files)? I'm looking at the Samsung G3 Station 1.5 TB at the moment.

As I'll be using this with my PS3 and 2010 Macbook Pro it must have USB 2.0 but may also have Firewire 800.

Since you'll be moving it around you'd be better off with a USB (only) powered drive. When your external HD needs it's own plug at the wall it becomes a bit of a chore to use it. Something to consider on your search anyway.

You won't get a 1.5tb USB powered drive though?

You can get 1Tb Iomega Ego's. So it's not like it can't be done.
