external hard drive needed with usb

well i want to move files from my pc to the ps3, i think the best way to do this would be by using an external usb hard drive, whats the best one to go for? ps3 only has a 55gb hard disk so i wont be needing a very large one neither will i be needing a very fast one since it will be bottlenecked by usb, are there any that will run off usb power? whats the best value for money say a 250Gb one can be had for £70 but a 320Gb one can be had for £75 obviously 320GB would be better value so i could use it as a storage drive as well, backup my files and such

If you want USB power then it'll need to be a 2.5" laptop HDD based device which in turn will limit the capacity to about 160-200Gb. There are plenty to choose from on this page. Altenatively you could pick up a bare drive from here and pair it with a caddy like this yourself, that way you get the pick of the stall as far as drives go.
