Evening guys, i purchased a seagate 1tb external hdd with the intention of ripping it open and popping the drive in my ps4, which is done and having no problem with.

However i've popped the surplus drive back in the caddy to use as a media drive on smart tv, ps3 etc.

The only two devices that are showing the drive are my xbox one and pc.

Ps3 and tv's know it's plugged in, just refuse to let me in to the content.
Is there anything i might have missed to get it back to a usable state after having been used in the ps4?

Cheers

it could be down to the format the drive is in.

if you connect it to your PC can you access everything ok?

where windows uses fat 32 and ntfs im not too sure what the PS4 uses as I don't have one but this could be why it cannot access the content.

I can connect my external 3TB drive to my TV and its fine but its in ntfs

Cheers for that, think I've cracked it.

Drive was showing up as gpt as opposed to mbr?
Managed to covert it back and now everything I've tried so far recognized it.
Thanks for the reply all the same.
