External Hard drive (recommendation)

I am wanting a 3.0 external hard drive at a storage of 3TB can anybody recommend one at the price range of a £100? for reliability and speed. It would be used for fairly big files. Games/videos/music etc.

Does anybody have any opinions on the Toshiba Stor.e Canvio 3TB?

You can get Western Digital and Seagate from around £82.99 all the way up to £100. It depends on the look and style of them and features. DO you need it to do back ups or just store files. I have not tried a Toshiba external before but had both WD and Seagate plus a portable Samsung drive. All have worked well.

Just to store files, yes. I have two internals but I am starting to run out of space

I got a 3TB Seagate Expansion external for £80 very happy with it's speed cant speak for reliability yet. but my Seagate externals are performing well after quite some time and 24/7 connection.

Buy 2 of them.

One for data, the second as a backup of that data.

Four years ago I went for broke and bought two silver external un-named brands from eBay and they lasted me for three years, believe it or not.
