I've been using a 500gig samsung drive out of a lacie external drive (from ocuk) as my main hard drive. I've just put an asus maximus motherboard and when I've switched it back on and now I've got a smart error at the bios stage. I carried on an installed vista (the hard drive wasn't formatted). windows explorer kept crashing so I decided to format it. I've still got the smart error.
is the hard drive broke? can I send it back seeing as I've taken it out of its lacie caddie and bre one of those warranty stickers? do I send it to ocuk?
