External hard drive

Why does my Maxtor 500gb external drive contain a Seagate barracuda and not a Maxtor?

Not that it bothers me, im just curious. Do you think they ran out of Maxtors or something?

yes seagate bought out maxtor and have now made it a crappy brand

try and stick to WD and sammy from now on

Maxtor has always been a crappy brand, if anything they are better now!
