External HD enclosure

I have a couple of old 3.5" 500gb hd's gathering dust. I'm looking for an external hd enclosure to turn them into portable external drives. But i don't want to have them powered buy adapter.

Can any one confirm there is such a thing as a self powered hd enclosure for a 3.5" drive on the market. There standard 2.0 drives so the enclosure does not need to be a usb 3.0 version.

You won't find a self powered USB enclosure for 3.5" drives, the port can't supply enough power for a 3.5" drive.

Lack of 12v would be a problem as well
