External HD from the States

Hi,

Just had a friend buy me an external hd from the states however its obviously got a different plug..can i just get a us to uk adaptors or is there anything else i need to now (like voltages this that etc.)

A UK adaptor is all you should need as the power supply should be universal/auto switching.

If you're lucky the power cord may be detachable in which case a replacement should be easy to acquire.
