I have been toying with idea of an external HDD storage unit - Thing is I want it remote from PC out of sight. - Is it possible to have the external drive operated by WiFi in any way - Problem I have with WiFi is block wall's ruin signal but not sure if say external was in loft above PC- if so what are we talking about .
Ah !! -- sitting here thinking about it I already have home plugs to front of house to TV and Dab radio - so I could get another home plug in loft or somewhere - so that means the external HDD needs to be connected to something that I can plug Ethernet lead into. It would also be on 24/7i f in loft.
I know you can get USB caddies but can you get one with Ethernet lead - if yes can anyone reccommend anything please.
